"In support of strengthening student academic achievement, Natchitoches Parish School Board agreed on with, and distributed to, parents of participating children a written parental involvement policy containing information required by section 1118(a)(2) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) (district wide parental involvement policy). The policy establishes the Natchitoches Parish School Board expectations for parental involvement and describes how the district will implement a number of specific parental involvement activities, is incorporated into the Natchitoches Parish Schools consolidated plan submitted to the Louisiana Department of Education, and distributed to parents in the Natchitoches Parish School Board Student/Parent Handbook."
