It is our belief that the major emphasis of the technology program is the seamless integration of technology with curriculum, instruction, and assessment so that student mastery of essential skills that include the utilization of technology is maximized at all grade levels. It has become imperative for students preparing to enter the work force to be proficient in utilizing technology and that students should leave the Natchitoches Parish School System with evidence of their proficiency.

 

 

The Natchitoches Parish School System feels that it is essential for all educators to hold high expectations for themselves and will set examples for utilizing technology through the continual development of their skills through staff development opportunities. We feel that our faculties will increase their base knowledge and as a result, enhance their effectiveness as a classroom teacher.

 

We do place an expectation on our students and faculties in the technology areas. Based on these expectations, we feel the use, implementation of, and overall performance in the technology area will prepare our students for future enhancement in the workplace and post secondary education.
