History of Chris "Waddell Day"
Chris Waddell was a freshman offensive lineman from New Orleans-
Holy Cross who suddenly passed away on March 1, 2004.
"Waddell Day" began the next year involving a series of activities
at local schools and community centers in which NSU Demon football
players and area children get involved.
NSU Demon Football Players
NSU Demon football players, along with Coach Cooley, visited Parks
Elementary and Middle School and inspired students to achieve and
made a football presentation to Principal, Dr. Alvin Brossette.
Inspirational Theme
The inspirational theme that was presented by the NSU Demon
football players, to the students at PEMS, was to study and to be
respectful to authority figures, which are key elements needed
for any student planning to attend college.
